Just a Few Pictures. More To Come

I haven't posted pictures in forever... So that's my focus for the next few days!
Well.. this is one of my best friends. His name is Jaden Ralphs, and he is basically a stud. He sings, plays soccer, and our parents are basically best friends. We've known each other for years, and our parents have known each other since before we were born. We are about 6 days apart in age. We went out a few weekends ago on a date. SO FUN. We made breakfast, went ice skating, and got ice cream. I don't know where I would be without this kid. Even when we haven't seen each other for weeks, he still calls just to check in with me. He's the best!

Keller chose this filter..so don't judge my crazy eyes. This is my 7 year old little brother. And no.. he's not really my brother. But I've known him since before he was born, and I baby sit him all the time. I think I count as a big sister. He speaks Chinese. He's pretty dang cool and he will be a heartbreaker in high school.

We went to St. George over Spring Break. Emily, Jaycee, Maggie, and I. On Tuesday morning, we went and did baptisms in the St. George temple. One of the coolest experiences! I absolutely loved it! Waking up at the crack of dawn to go was so worth it!

We drove through Arizona and Nevada just for fun.. Bear Paw for breakfast. Red Robin for dinner. Temple trip. Meeting friends on the freeway. We did EVERYTHING you could do in St. George. It was honestly one of the best spring breaks I've ever had. I love my friends. We all needed a weekend like this to just unwind. I couldn't have asked for a better senior spring break!

I love my soccer sisters. Britt and Syd have signed to go and play in Nebraska. I'm so jealous. I would give anything to still be playing. I am so so proud of them, though! I love my sisters. We've been through way to much to ever leave each other. I'm grateful to have grown up with these girls.
(Syd, Kates, Britt, Me)

If you know Em and I, you know we are totally content with sitting in sweats, with our hair pulled up, no make up on, on a Saturday night. Sometimes we like to get ready, though! Ladies night while the boys were all at priesthood session. Grateful for my best friend. Not gonna lie, we are adorable. So boys... we are single. *hint hint*

Flashback to when my cousin and soccer girls were on TV for the USWNT soccer practice last summer. Meeting Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe, Heather O'Reily, and all of the team was one of the best days of my life. Honestly . I love the USWNT so much, it's ridiculous.

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission... Plus Some Other Ramblings

I was rereading my patriarchal blessing the other day, and it hit me. I have to serve a mission. It was written so clearly that I was shocked I hadn't noticed it before. As April approaches, so does the realization that I can start my mission papers. Granted, I won't be able to actually leave for quite a few months, but the fact that the process gets to start is so exciting!

All of my friends are getting their calls. Landon and Parker Greenhalgh have been called to serve in Taiwan. Landon: Taichung, leaving July 10. Parker: Taipei, leaving June 26. Zach Lamb was just called to serve in Honduras, San Pedro Sula mission. He leaves June 26, too. I am so unbelievably proud of these boys. They are serious examples in my life. It's going to be hard to say goodbye, but I know that what they are doing is the most important thing right now. I hope and hope and hope they will all be here when I get my call.

Bryson Westbroek had his mission farewell yesterday. He's leaving in April to serve in the West Indies. That kid.. He is a freaking stud. He's going to kick some serious butt down there. Kaelton Heil and Braiden Simmons are getting their calls this week (hopefully). I'm so nervous for the both of them! They both need to get out there and start serving. It will be so good for them to finally be out of here. Jeff's papers are almost submitted. Just waiting on his bishop. Excuse me while I go cry my eyes out.

Between all of these farewells and mission openings, I feel like that is all anyone is focused on anymore! School? Forget about it! This term has been kicking my butt. I need 4th term to start so I can have clear grades and just finish! 81 days. 81 days and I will be graduated from high school. No one understands just how excited I am. High school is Hell, and if someone tells you otherwise, don't trust them. They are obviously a liar or mentally ill. Seriously, though.

My BFF is out of town for the next few days. And let me tell you, IT SUCKS. I have been so bored. This just goes to show that we spend way to much time together. It's fine though; her brother texted me last night saying we need to go out on a sibling date since he feels deserted as well without her. I love the George family. They never fail to make me feel like part of the family.

Senior year. I think we've finally all hit that wall where we don't care what's happened in the last few years. All that matters is that we are going crazy and having fun. Honestly, I don't care anymore about a fight that happened sophomore year when someone said something bad about someone else. It doesn't freaking matter. I've worked things out with some friends, and with others, we've just forgotten about it completely. I love it. I can call anyone on a Saturday night and just hang out. We have proven this to be true. This last Saturday, I was with Mags, Jaycee, Jordan Cobabe, Braiden Simmons, Brennan O'Neil, and Hayden Jardine. Most random group of people? You better believe it. But it was honestly one of the most fun nights I've had in awhile. And we did nothing big. We played basketball (our own version) and watched a movie. But I loved every second of it.

Let me just vent for a second here. Honestly... am I defective? Or mentally not all there? Someone please tell me. Because there must be something totally wrong with me. All these couples walking around school tend to make a girl jealous. But the part that really gets me... some of these people are SUPER WEIRD. Now I'm not judging, if you're happy with someone, be with them. Good for you. That is great. Just don't let me see you making out in the middle of the hallway. That's super nast' and ain't nobody got time fo dat. But seriously. I look at my cute friends and myself and wonder how we are single. I'm pretty sure we are super awesome and everyone should love us. I might be bias. Now don't get me wrong, I understand that I'm not the prettiest girl around town. But I don't think I'm completely hideous. I mean... sometimes my hair is really nice. Sometimes. It's just disheartening to walk around school and see all these happy lovey-dovey couples and people who are just 'in love' and realize that it's been over a year since your last REAL relationship. And I get it, it's all in God's timing. When I'm supposed to be with someone, I will be. I'm just sayin', it would be a lot of fun to actually date around. Not just spend your weekends watching movies with the same five people. Maybe that's just me though. SO. Dear Stripling Warrior that God is sending my way.. Try not to get lost. Because I'm already impatient.

I'm so grateful for my friends. They have been so great these last few weeks. We've been rebellious, crazy teenagers that we've needed to be. I'm grateful for the gospel in my life. I seriously would be so lost without it. I know that I've been blessed with a family that loves me, and friends that care. I'm grateful for the George's. I'd be going insane if it wasn't for them. They've totally taken me in as one of their own and I'm loving it. Senior year, you've been good to me. I am so excited for you to be done with though. Bring on the real world, my mission, and growing up. I'm ready for some new challenges.

Until next time,

Junior Year

Well here we are. At the close of another school year. And I am not ashamed to say I'm happy to see it go. This has been the craziest, most emotionally, mentally, and physically draining year of my life. Coming into this year, I thought it would be great. I would have all my friends, soccer would be perfect, and I would just be a regular teenage girl. Boy was I wrong! I don't know what happened, but people changed. And that's okay! Everyone does, and most of the time it is for the better. Personally, I know I changed A LOT. But it's made me a stronger person inside and out. I'm no longer friends with a lot of the people I was closest with. Would I do anything for them on anyday? Absolutely. Even if we don't talk now, they were a big part of my life and I'm always going to be there for them.
Emotionally...this year was hard for everyone is Davis Country. Specifically Clearfield and Syracuse High. Between losing our friends due to suicide, it took a toll on a lot of us. It made me realize that life is so fragile. You have to be conscious with everything you say to someone. You don't know the battles they are currently fighting. Tanner, Sam, Zack...you boys are always in my heart. I miss you all so much. I know you guys are looking over us though and sending us your love.
I lost my best friend this year. Nothing happened to him, we just grew apart. And it eats at me ever single day. I still have hope that one day we will work out our issues and be able to talk again. It's been officially three months since we've spoken. 9 years down the drain it feels like. I still love him to death. And he will always hold a special place in my heart that no one can fill. Love you, Broughykins. I hope you are doing well and everything is okay.
Soccer has been a whirlwind this year. High school season we should have dominated, but sadly struggled throughout the whole season. I definitely made some amazing friends and grew stronger. I've made the decision I am done with soccer. I don't have the drive for it anymore. I love my comp team with all my heart, but I don't love the sport. I've made the decision I am going to run cross country. I love it and I know I'm good at it. I think it will be such a good experience for me. I have one tournament with my comp team left.. we will see how it goes. It will be an emotional time for a lot of the girls. We are all sisters. We used to be so distant from each other, but now we all are so close. They were my best friends when I didn't like myself, my city, or my school.
Best friends always. I love my girls, my coach, and what I gave 11 years of my life to. I'm grateful for the experiences I had from this whole thing. I wouldn't take it back for anything.
It's not that school was hard this year. It was just draining. It seemed that no matter what, I couldn't agree with my Chemistry teacher. That took a toll on me and the entire class. No one wanted to be there. It seemed that everything just wore me out. Especially after having mono, strep, AND bronchitits. After that, I just couldn't focus. Those three months of being sick were horrible. I kept my grades up though, which I thought was a stressful task. I've come to the point where I wear jeans and a soccer shirt to school. And MAYBE mascara. I know, I've been looking lovely. But I just don't care anymore!
I'm so grateful for the gospel in my life. This year has been a test to see what I can live through. I don't know where I would be without the Church in my life. I'm in the middle of the Book of Mormon for the second time. I am catching things I didn't see or understand the first time I've gone through it. I'm grateful for a gospel that allows me to repent and know of the atonement. My life would be flipped all around with it as a steady rock.

Junior year, GOODBYE. It is time for us to part.. Thankfully. Summer? Be good to me. I want to be a teenager and have one of the most unforgettable summers yet. Senior year? Bring it on. :)

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling.

To Catch You Up

I know. I've been missing for weeks. I promise I have a good excuse! My computer crashed in my room. I've been living off of my phone and NOOK for weeks. It is quite the adjustment. When I last wrote, it was about soccer. About how they were basically my only friends and my sisters. Then I posted the funny video and picture of what my life is. A lot has happened since all of that.
Sadly, we lost two young teens in the end of February. Tanner Birch and Sam Rodemack. I knew both of these boys. I met Tanner while I was on a date and he was working at Neilson's Frozen Custard. I got his number and we started talking. I came to find out I was close friends with his brother Logan. Sam and I had all of our I.B. classes together in junior high. Sam was the kid you could always turn to if you needede something. Whether it was just a hug or a piece of 5Gum. They both took their lives in a matter of three days. Tanner on a Sunday, and Sam on a Wednesday. These boys are missed every single day. People that didn't even know them were heartbroken. It was a rough week for the kids in the Clearfield and Syracuse area. We came together and worked through it though. Those two boys will always be remembered for what they did for everyone in their life. There isn't a day that goes by where they aren't missed like crazy.
Life is crazy. It is weird. Sometimes it seems like it is to hard to handle. I've lost a lot of friends this year. But I'm okay with it. I'm a better person without them. I've mended some friendships that I'm so grateful for in my life. I still miss certain people, and I probably always will. And I'm trying to get over it, it is just difficult. The house is still up for sale. I'm praying someone comes along looking for a nice house and they choose ours. It is definitely time for me to get out of Syracuse. Not my most favorite place. So if any lovely bloggers are looking for a beautiful house, message me and I will hook you up!
I love my soccer team. We keep getting closer and closer as the weeks go by. We just got back from San Diego. We went to play in the NOMADS soccer tournament. Don't ask how we did. It wasn't pretty. We had a crazy good time though. It was a vacation to be with our sisters. Story time. On Sunday night, it was April Fool's Day. We had just gotten back from team dinner at Cheesecake Factory and we weren't tired AT ALL. So we decided to all hang out. My group (Britt, Syd, Kates) all decided to go and chill in the Box Elder girls room. (Megan, Lana, Kaylie, Heather) When we got to their room, we discovered our coaches room was right next door. We just HAD to prank him. Two of our girls were starting to hop balconies to get onto his when he came out and freaked out at us. We needed a better plan. We got our assistant coach to call Mike out of his room. Once he was out, we had Syd and Kates hop the balcony again and see if his back door was open. It was locked. We gave them some soap and had them write a long note to him on his window. We had to find a way into his room! Britt and Katie ran down to the front desk to get a card. They said what room and what the it was under. They happily gave us a card, thinking we were innocent girls. We called housekeeping asking to bring two rolls of toilet paper to the room so we could paper it and trash it. Once the girls got back up to the rooms, we snuck quietly into Mike's room. Then, disaster struck. We let Kates and Syd into the room, off of the balcony, and we went crazy. We flipped both of his matteresses, moved his t.v., threw clothes around, toilet papered everything, sprayed his cologne around, and tipped all the chairs over. While we were in the process of this, Megan ran in the room and locked the door behind her, scared out of her mind. We were puzzled. She told us to shut up and then explained what was going on. There was a security guard walking around our floor. We were convinced he was going to come and see what we were doing and we were going to get in HUGE trouble. We sat in silence for what felt like a year. Finally, we all ran to the 'safe room', or the Box Elder girls room. Megan's mom walked in and told us about the security guard. She said we were going to get in trouble if we destroyed Mike's room. ...To late for that. We heard a *tap**tap* at the door. We all went silent. Megan opened the door to see the security guard standing there. He was holding two rolls of toilet paper. He said housekeeping sent him to bring them up. We felt like such idiots. Once he left, we all busted up laughing. We heard Mike come back to his room. The second he opened his door, he started swearing up a storm. We had accomplished something genuis. We all ran into his room with our extra key card. He turned and looked at us, stunned that his little girls could pull off something so good. We ended up cleaning the room for him, terrified for what he had in store for us at practice later in the week. In the morning, a few of the parents stopped each girl and complimented us on our prank. It felt good.

I'm so grateful for everything I've been given. I know I don't say it enough but I am. I love my family, I love my soccer team, I love the few amazing friends I have in my life. I'm so thankful for the gospel in my life and a Savior that loved me enough to give his life.

A Good Pair Of Jeans And A T-Shirt

I love the nights where that is all you need. Throw on your favorite pair of jeans, a big t-shirt, and you are set. Not doing your hair, don't worry about make up, just get dressed and go. That is how it should be. Hassle-free.
I had such a fun night tonight with some friends that I don't hang out with to much anymore. It was great! Random conversations in the basement, boys in funny soldier outfits, quick runs to 7-11, Zoolander, and catching up on old times and fun memories. I am grateful for the friendships that I have made. I'm also grateful for the friendships I've lost. While sometimes it seems like they were needed at the time, I realized they don't matter. If they were supposed to be in my life, I would have been with them on a night like tonight. The people I was with tonight are amazing. I look up to each and every one of them. They are such examples to not only me, but people they meet everyday. Things have been rocky, but I think they are starting to look up.
One person I have to say I am so so grateful for, is my friend Trevor Dickson. We went through a rough patch where we weren't super close, and didn't talk a ton. But this last month has changed. We talk almost every day. We see each other at least once a week, it feels like. I can tell him anything. I know he is always there for me, and I am so thankful for him. And I'm grateful that Emily introduced us about a year (give or take a few months) ago. I don't know what I would do without some of these people in my life.

100th Post

Well.. Pretty self-explanatory. I have been blogging for a little over a year now, about random adventures that I have taken, things that have stuck out to me, and things that tell who I am. So seeing as it is November, the month of thanking and giving, I'll do a post of what I'm thankful and grateful for.

*I'm grateful for my family. That laughs, the fights, the weird conversations. Carson, Gracie, my mom and dad, and even our three little dogs.
I'm grateful for soccer. Even though it has taken me on a roller coaster for 11 years, but it has defined me and helped me find out who I am and what I love.*
*I'm grateful for my talent in running. Without it, I would just be ordinary.
*I am so thankful we have music. Sometimes, you just need some Taylor Swift to cry to, or some Eminem to yell to.
My friends. Things have been rough, but I'm grateful for the good times, the trials, and all of the memories we have made.*
*My house. My clothes. My I-Pod. Shoes. Purses. Make-up. Cleats. Pictures. My tooth brush. My car. Posters. Quote blocks. My phone.
*I am so grateful for the gospel. Without it in my life, I would be lost. It has helped me so much these last few weeks and I am thankful for our prophets who have helped us.*
*The Book Of Mormom. I am so so so grateful for it. I am almost finished with it, and I have learned so much from it. Its crazy how a book can affect someones life so much.*
*The Temple. Its my castle, and I am going to go there one day.
I am so thankful for the men and the women that serve our country and keep us safe and free.*
*Here is a shocker : I am grateful for school. Without it, we would be so worse off. It is going to be worth it after we get those diplomas.
I'm grateful for those days where I can come home and sit in sweats, with my hair pulled back, and make up off and just relax.*
*I am thankful for the days that I realize I have a life and I'm doing something productive to help someone or do something.

I know there is a lot I missed. There is so much to be thankful for, and this is the time of the season to thank those that have helped you.

Thank you to my friends. You've made me stronger. You have given me laughs and memories I will remember forever. Thank you to my family for not giving up on me when I've been at my lowest. Thank you Marilyn Monroe for not being a size two and making everyone else feel more comfortable about their bodies. Thank you to The Redeemer for giving his life so we could be here and have these amazing opportunities.

I'm so grateful for the kids in my seminary class. They have helped me through a lot, and I'm becoming great friends with a lot of them.
I don't like girls to much. Boys are much better to hang out with.

Cute Alex (Leah) and I (Rachel)
To bad no one in the bible likes Leah..
And Kars has learned from Jeff to creep..
Been friends since I was a freshman. I love her.

He likes to go and get me hot chocolate during class,
and he likes to talk to me, even when we are supposed to be quiet.
He doesn't take pictures, so I should feel honored (-Says Spencer)
Devin! He is a stud, and I'm so glad we are friends, and in the same class
